WHO ARE YOU WHEN NO ONE IS WATCHING?

Wondering Who I Am?

My Name Is Luna Margaret LeBlanc

I am a female artist born and raised in Sidney, British Columbia, Canada. From a very young age, I was always more interested in the things I could create with my own hands more than anything else.

With those hands, I have been labeled as "the Jack Of All Trades, Master Of None" in 2022 of my graduating class as I reached my goal of attempting all 7 different art forms and continue to challenge myself.

You most often will see me with a camera in hand, however, you may catch me tattooing or working on one of my many mixed-media art projects.

I am an artist who refuses to be labeled as just one thing.

My Photography

Photography for me is not merely about freezing moments in time; it's about peeling back the layers of expectations and revealing the unique authenticity that lies beneath. The work I do is my way of showing society how I view the world.

Whether it's through surreal compositions, unconventional perspectives, or whimsical editing techniques, In the realm of photography, I believe there's a transformative power in the unexpected, the unconventional, and the downright bizarre.

My portraits aren't meant to simply be glanced at and forgotten; they're crafted with the intention of making people want to look for just a little longer.

My Arts

Art is the oldest form of my creativity, a language I’ve spoken since I was nine years old. Drawn to movie characters, actors, portraits, creatures, and anything with a story to tell, I’m fascinated by personality above all else.

I work primarily in mixed media, often joking that I’ll use almost anything to make art, except paint. Self-taught in every medium I pursue, I believe creativity has no rules, only curiosity. While traditional drawing on paper will always be home, I’ve also expanded into digital illustration, constantly exploring new techniques and ways to create.

My work has been selectively featured by RAW Artists Canada and The People’s Artist America, where my artwork and photography often intertwine through handmade props and visual storytelling. Whether I’m sketching or behind a camera, my goal is the same: to capture not just how someone looks, but who they are beneath the surface.

"My hands know things my mind hasn't figured out quite yet."

My Tattoing

Tattooing is the newest addition to my artistic journey, though I’ve dedicated the last four years to learning and refining the craft. My work sits somewhere between patchwork, blackwork, and traditional tattooing, often incorporating crosshatching and stippling to create texture and depth. However, to those who know me and are reoccurring clients would state "Luna will tattoo just about any style if the idea is cool enough".

Through formal certifications, mentorship, and countless hours tattooing both myself and clients, I’ve built my style by constantly learning through experience.

What I love most about tattooing is its permanence. Every piece becomes part of someone’s story, and knowing that my artwork lives on with over a hundred people is something I never take for granted.

“Long after I’m gone, a part of my art will still be walking the earth.”
